i love shiny buildings.
woke up at 9am today, ate breakfast and went to anika's house at 9:30, cos she was driving us to ashfield station, then we trained to town hall to go to the apple genius bar.it was really awesome. i love the building so much. it's all glass and sparkly and gorgeous :D the first thing i immediately thought was: HOLY CRAP i want to work here!
it was pretty awesome, and the guy managed to fix my ipod, which was somehow corrupted, but he restored everything, but that meant i lost all my vids and music and stuff on my ipod, which is kinda a bummer, but oh well, at least its fixed?
anyways, its like >40 degrees today, and its so hot and i cbb going out and celebrating australia day. damn i should be more patriotic eh? oh well.
and the city shops are pretty awesome, you walk past and a blast of air con just hits you :D its like ahhhhh relief.
anyways after apple genius bar, we went window/actual shopping, and i bought a skirt (which i can use for partaying AND work) for 7 bucks and its uber pretty :D
was cut down to 10 bucks from 20 or 30 , and then it was like, 30% off storewide on marked prices, so it was further reduced so yay :D
anyways, im gonna go test out my newly fixed ipod now. by the way, if you're wondering what im doing at home, IT'S AUSTRALIA DAY so no work today :)

it was only just a dream
hey all!so yesterday after my massive blog post, i failed to mention how i had to go work on monday, even though i wasn't mention to, cos i was kinda behind/just wanted to go since my boss called me. anyways, ended up getting 4 hours of work done, then my boss is like. im hungry. let's meet norman (someone else who works there), and get food! so norman comes at like 7:15, and we're like. where should we eat. so in the end we ended up driving out to olympic park, grabbing maccas and just eating in the stands near the oval :) it was actually quite fun, and im glad i went. :D
anyways, this morning, woke up at 8 and went to my GP to get my vaccinations for med! turns out i only need a few, so i got my chicken pox vaccine, and a blood test to check if i need the mumps, rubella and somethign else vaccine, cos apparently my hep b levels are good so i dont need to get more boosters yay :D but yeah, i liked the doctor i went to, cos shes young, korean (but can speak a little chinese really well :O) and she studied at unsw! so when i was like, im going unsw, she was liek YAY THAT'S THE BEST COS I WENT THERE! and she was just really nice and i actually understood her so it was all good :) i think ill go to her in the future, cos she was quick but not like. super rushed and evil ahha. anyways, the chicken pox vaccine didnt hurt when the needle went in, but the blood test one did. mb the needle for it was big or something. but yeah, then i went to cantebury hospital for tb testing.
BUT DID YOU KNOW.
YOU NEED TO WAIT FOR 4 WEEKS IF YOU HAVE THE CHICKEN POX VACCINE B4 YOU CAN TEST FOR TB.

cos now i have to wait till feb 21 = = so yeah.
anyways, had work after that from 1pm - 9pm. just came home. so tired.

this night is sparkling, don't you let it go
Prepare yourselves for a MASSIVE blog post about my life since boxing day. It's been hectic, so i'll probably just go through things quickly.- Went shopping with bowen ! :) It was kind of tiring for me, cos i went parra the day after boxing day with my mum, and then i went the day after that too with bobo, so it was like 26th 27th 28th SHOPPING. :D but yes! i bought flats, bowen bought jeans, then i took bowen for his very first PHO! but he said it just tasted normal, or like soup or something which peter hoppett said he should be hanged for! >=[ aha i can't remember. oh yeah, speaking of peter WE RANDOMLY bumped into him. it was so scary. like, i made bowen buy his very first coffee, and while we were walking to gj, bowen points at a cafe called "bj" and said that peter would be so excited since apparently he used to always refer to me and bowen as bj (bowenjan) but yes. and then, we walk in gj and just as we were ordering, GUESS WHO WALKED IN?? OMG PETER HOPPETT!!! like WE WERE JUST TAKLING ABOUT HIM! it was freaky. and he was just carrying BAGS of shopping and he's like ZOMG so tired = = aha :D
but yes. that's the main bit i remember , except that the myer lady was REALLY unhelpful. so bowen was lining up FOR AGES at the myer counter to ask where the nearest st george atm was. and she was like, so you go through to church street, blah blah blah...goes on with directions for AAAGES and i just tuned out but i think bowen was listening? anyways, then we're like. wow okay thanks. we leave myer on the third? floor, where tarocash is, AND THE FIRST THING WE SEE IS A FREAKING ST GEORGE ATM! like. WHAT? we were just like. wah ? but yes! unhelpful much! ergh. what else do i remember? not much actually :( but yeah. so that was shopping with bobo.
- DOLLY'S NYE SLEEPOVER! woot :D so kat had organised a fireworks watching group, and luan had organised one too (go fb events :D) and i was like, OMG which one do i go to, so i msned eddie and we basically just organised a sleepover at dolly's place without asking her :D (yay for that) , but then she came on a few days later so we asked her and she was like sure, so really there wasnt much harm done. anyways, so yeah :D we went to dolly's place. we being me, ling (who couldnt sleep over but came anyways for the day :D), india, ned(who was late cos she came from nelsons bay) and yeah :D
the first thing i remember was getting to westmead station and calling dolly going, I'M EARLY, IS THAT OKAY? and she's like, yeah its fine. I CAN SEE YOU RIGHT NOW! like WTSTALKER?! ?! ?! she justified herself later, but it was like FREAKING scary at first :O anyways, yeah, so i got there early and said hi to her mum ( who is really really nice :) ) and watched really lame old shows that dolly likes, like GET SMART and we played her super cool lame game called GLOVER which is on n64 console, and some random racing game where we COULDNT SEE THE TRACK AND WAS DRIVING around BACKWARDS. but ahah yeah. once everyone cept ned got there, we caught the train to blacktown westpoint where we used to do bowling in y9 and 10 rec sport and WE WENT BOWLING! actually we ate food first, i ate oporto, most ppl ate decent amounts except india who ate one samosa and was done >> but yes, after lunch, me and ling were like. SHOPPING!!!!!!!! -drools so we litearlly ran towards sportsgirl before the rest of the people could stop us, so i bought anikas xmas present and yes :) ling bought wedges from pulp and they were on sale and really pretty :) then we went bowling. everyone had different names on the board, exzcept dolly who was dolly, but india was gary from spongebob, ling was nerd cos she is one :), ned was fish (i forgot why) and i was roger (i think you know why). and i found out something.
I SUCK AT BOWLING. = = immensely. like, i kept guttering the ball and i wa sliek
== zomg. but then, ling was randomly like. LOL lets be all retarded and bowl with our left hands to see how noob we are!.
yes. i got a spare. = = the only time i bowled wtih my left hand. and then it hit me.
I'M LEFT HANDED! like DUH JAN. = = but then, it just stopped working. i just kept failing again, even wit my left hand. so that's just weird. then again, i did better once i started using size 6 balls, so i decided to give up and admit im a weaklingg and used size 6 balls, so i turned out okay in the end. plus, i love how india bowls, she uses all her energy and its just hilarious and we figured out dolly has nice posture for bowling, and ling creates a crater in the bowling floor everything she bowls from the way it sounds, and ned kinda just rolls the ball LOl. so yeah, im not sure what my thing is though :( maybe im just strange. maybe that's my thing. anways after we finsihed bowling, me and dolly got 6 tokens from the arcade, and split it. i just did that spinning ufo thing, and dolly did deal or no deal but got like 10 tickets ahah. but yeah, we pooled our tickets together, and dolly let me keep the slinkie :) ngaw i love slinkies. they're really pretty ! and yeah, i was uber anal about letting people play with it cos i was really worried it would get tangled. but yes. then we went to cookieman and ate a lot of cookies :D yummmmm. then we went back to dolly's house and played mario kart on n64 till dinner. OH YEAH, we played pokemon stadium and I BEAT NED :D i consider this quite an acheivement seeing as she seems to play pokemon SO MUCH :D but yes. GO JINX AND LOVELY KISS :D hehe. anyways, we went thai for dinner. i was kinda broke so i got the mixed entree which had spring rolls, money bags and other random stuff. i think i uploaded them on fb. i think. so check there! anyhoo, then i went home the next day. yeah boring ending to excitign story .
- started work at pre uni on jan4th. At first i was really scared cos they seemed to be all korean and 3 rd year uni, but i met this girl in my grade called jenny whos really nice and yeah, so now i actually really like pre uni :) plus i get HEAAAAPS of money now, so its awesssssssssome :D so yeah, it's basically been 5 days a week so i'm now a hermit forever. so if you invite me somewhe4re, just remember, I'M ONLY FREE ON MONDAYS TT"" until uni starts that is. then i dno.
- now it's for the exciting part. NELSON'S BAY <3 yeah =" ="" salad =" 12.50">> but yeah, after that WE PLAYED PICTIONARY (my game taht i had for like 5 years but never opened so it was still in plastic when i brought it to nelsons bay lol). Teamed up with louie (thank goodness) cos we learnt one thing that night. dolly sucks at pictionary. somehow ronni could understand everything she drew though. LIKE WHAT! and i was kinda dumb and didnt recognise pie. i thought louei was drawing a toilet seat >> and then she started drawing the mathematical pi, but i still didnt get it cos it looked like TT, which i think of as CRYING EMOTICON so i was liek WHY ARE YOU CRYING. and then she started writing 3.14...and i was like WHY ARE YOU WRITING NUMBERS? >> yeah, obviously i got killed for that one. anyways, went to bed at like. 2am.
day two. 170111 BIRUBI BEACH aka SKIN CANCER heaven!
slept at 2am, woke up at 7:30am, cos my sleeping patterns used to be good TT (not anymore after 7 days of weirdass sleeping pattterns). but yeah, WOKE EVERYONE UP :) cos that was my responsibility (this soon died after a while). Anyways, had a quick breakfast, found out no one eats eggs except me, so i just fried them for me and had an egg sandwich everyday. anyways, packed up our stuff aka cameras, phones, beach towels, wore swimmers and caught the bus to birubi beach. it was SO hot and the waves were SO GOOD, it was like collaroy taht time we went to camp, i think y10 peer support? but the waves were SO good. and we spent the whole day there, body boarding and just jumping waves. so incredibly fun. that has to be one of my most enjoyable days there. i got SO SEVERELY burnt though. like srsly, even though we all reapplied thanks to the constant updates from our beloved sports captain self loading kou.anyhoo, we all got burnt anyways :( srsly my shoulder was So hurty i couldnt carry a bag on my shoulder for like three days. but it was so incredibly fun and worth it. :)
oh yeah. IMPORTANT thing. that was the day fed started playing first round at aus open, so because it was me, i was moaning to everyone to get back at around 3 so i culd watch him play. anyways, so i kept checking the live scores every 10 minutes, and he started playing and i was liek nOOOOOOO. and he was owning lucas lacko 6-0 6-0 or somethign and i wa slike DUDE. slow down and lose a set so i can watch you play :( :( :( but he didnt. anyways, the bus finally pulls up at our stop, i get out carrying really heavy crap, and just started bolting for the apartment. i don;'t even know how i had the energy seeing as i spent the whole day at the beach, but i bolted straight to the apartment (got lost on the way, got ned to shout me directions) and turned on the tv. FIRST THING I NOTICE. CHANNEL SEVEN WAS LIKE ALL FUZZY. no other channel was like that except seven! like ZOMG. second thing once i got passed that, THEY WERENT SHOWING FEDS MATCH. THEY WERE SHOWING RODDICKS. LIKE WTF. i spazzed out and just sat outside in the balcony eating all of dollys chips cos i was so depressed and everyone was just sitting there with me looking scared ( apparently i was scary) and then louie finally saves me by going LOOK ITS FEDERER (they showed his last game or so) but i was like YAAAAAAAAAAY and i was all smiley again. but I CANT BELIEVE I RAN FOR NOTHING! FOOOOOR NOTHING!! zomg !
had dinner at the bowling club again, ate steak and chips. (btw, LING finally tasted dianne sauce :D acutally we all did cos we just nabbed her sauce haha ) but yeah. was nomnomy. i was so tired though since i had 5 hrs of sleep taht i basically just crashed as soon as i got to the apartment.
day three - 180111 - tobaggan park :D
woke up early in the morning after an early night sleep, woke everyone up again :D we went to tobaggan park today, to go tobaggoning (duh) and then random souvenir shopping. so we get to the tobaggon park, pay for our tickets, AND THEN WE NOTICE THE PLASTERS. like the stuff you paint! and like 3 year old kids we were like OMGGGGGGGGG LET'S PAINT. so we decided to paint after tobaggoning. anyways. we went in the park and walked around randomly inside b4 we went on the tobaggan (it was really fun, and i have maps and photos of the place and tobaggan route on fb cos i ceebs uploading here). anyways, had two goes on the tobaggan cos it was reaaaaaaaally fun, then we decided to paint plaster. i got a monkey in a floating ring on water, ling got an adorable hedgehog with a wheelbarrow, dolly got snoopy lying on a watermelon, louie got a mother rabbit with a bucket, and ned got a really cool dragon. ronni didnt paint cos she has two many of those already so she just watched us and took heaps of photos (thanks ronni :)) and yeah. we were gonna catch the 12:30 bus or osmething but we missed that cos we were painting, and then we missed the 1 o something and then we finsihed painting, bought pies and quickly ran to catch the 2:30 bus or somethign. yeah we spent a LOT of time there. anyways, after that we caught the bus back to salamander bay, and stopped by the shops and maccas where we bought 50 c ice creams and tried to see if there was free wifi for offers (which there was not = = ), and caught the bus back home and went to the souvenir shop where we spent ages just hanging there buying random stuff. i got a kimmi doll snowglobe for my sister and a 'friend' cup for anika (this wasnt on this day but from the same shop so meh). went with ned to organise and book dolphin cruise tickets and i was so excited :D we also bought ned's mum a present - a kookaburra statue thingo from the souvenir shop since her parents did so much to help us with the organising and everything. went to dinner where me and dolly got spag bol and everyone else got soup and carvery meats which no one could finish. so after dinner, we specially walked to the internet cafe to ask what time it was open tomrow and the guy who owned the place (who was v v unfriendly and looked like the simpsons comic book guy and wanted us all to leave) told us it was open till 9 so we were like oh good and went back home. anyways, we watched the producers at the apartment afterwards then went to sleep cos i was reaaaaaaly tired afterwards.
day four - 190111 - offers day/nat's arrival.
so day of the offers D: we decided to trek to the lighthouse because it had historical meaning and it was pretty cool and we couldnt do anything too far away cos nat was coming today at an uncertain time. so we walked from our apartment to the lighthouse. SERIOUSLY KILL ME NOW. it was like 30 MINUTE WALK UPHILL. like. SERIOUSLY UP A STEEP HILL and i was like crying and dying at the same time. it was TERRIBLE. i was just seriously tortured. that was the most horrible walking experience ever. anyways, we got there, took heaps of photos, and the stuff was really quite intersting. (fb photos remember?) and we walked around everything and stuff. then we walked back (thank gosh steep downhill) and got fish and chips for lunch and found out taht dolly's freaked out about eating skin eg fish skin and chicken wings. during lunch we phoned nat, cos she was meant to be arriving around that time.
so the convo goes;
ling: hey nat, where are you! are you close?
nat: -says somethign over the phone
ling: YOU'RE STILL IN SYDNEY?!?!?!
everyone else; WHAT?!
nat: - says something over the phone.
ling : - hangs up. she's still in sydney. she says she's catching the bus straight to our place.
everyone else: .... what.
10 minutes later
ling: hey nat!
nat : - says something over the phone
ling: WHAT? youre getting DRIVEN now?
everyone: WHAT?!
and yeah. in the end she got driven so it was okay. anyways, went to the apartment, went back to wading/swimming at the beach cloise to our place until we picked up nat. then we went to dinner at the thai place which was pretty good cos it was cheap and big servings :D then it was like 8:00 so we were like. oh damnnn we should check now eh. so we walk to the internet cafe.
...
it was CLOSED.
like seriously CLOSED. we were liek D: oh. em. gee. w. tee. f. - freaks out
so then we trudge to the other internet cafe. the sign says closes at 8 and we got there at 8:10, but the lady was still sitting inside so we were like oo mb she'll let us in ,but there were randoms waiting outside and they were like. she didnt let us in, she's not gonna let you in either. and we werelike NOOOOOOOOOO. so most of us caved in and phoned our parents for them to check but i didnt cos i knew that if they checked and it was bad, they'd make me come home. plus im friends with a bunch of nerds who all got 99.5 and over, so really, theres nothing to worry about for them, unlike me with my 99. anyways, i called my friend anika instead, and she checked for me at 8:45 (right b4 fed vs simon - aka my dream match cos i love both of them).
At first she told me i got in nothign, and i tots didnt believe her cos i was like. dude. i applied for teaching. thats like 84 atar. there is no way i didnt get that = =
and then she's like. oh fine. you got unsw. and i was unsw waht? cos i applied to optom which is my backlup after med so iw a slike OMG i got optom nooo.
and she's like. med. and im like ... wtf. are you srs? this is a really cruel joke. and she's like . no seriously you got it. and then - cue screaming in disbelief. and im like OMG OMG I LOVE YOU THAKN YOU BLAH BLAH OMG FEDS PLAYING BYE.
so yeah, after screaming hysterically for ages, i ran downstairs to the apartment with th good tv and started watching fed. most ppl just sat there and laughed at me but i didnt care cos it was FEDERER! and ronni was like. lol. at me at first, but then as fed started losing, she was like OH NO! wait, NOOO she converted me. so now she likes federer too :D go me/ and that match lasted for 5 sets. that was litearlly my dream match
but seriously, that night for me was like. crazy. i kept having doubts that it was wrong, and that i actually got nothing and they just screwed up my offer and it was crazy stuff. i phoned my mum and she was so happy and i was just so happy and yeah. it was good cos everyone who wanted med in my group got unsw med :D uni here we come! i'm so excited :D but yeah, fed's match ended at like. 12. so then i think i fell asleep after that?
day five - 200111
woke up early in the morning to go internet cafe to check offers to make sure. and it was TRUEEEE :D yay so unbelievably happy. anyways, then we managed to bum around till 12 when our dolphin cruise came :D yay! we spent ages drivign around in the sea looking for dolphins and the captain was liek "the dolphins dont find us, we have to find the dolphins, who knows where they could be?" and im like omg you shoudl! i'm paying you for this!
anyways we ended up seeing a lot of dolphins and i was an uber photographer and mangaed to capture some phtoos of their fins and stuff (see fb once again :D). but yeah! it was awesome and it was so nice in the cruise except we kept having asian ladies and guys trying to steal our seats so i had to keep repeating in mando "sorry these seats aare taken". sigh.
anyways, after dolphin cruise we PICKED UP EDDIE WHO COULD COME FOR THE DAY! yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay <3 i love eddie! then we went to the shark and ray centre, which was basically where we got to swim with sharks and stingrays.me and dolly were too freaked out to , and ling didnt so it was louie ned and nat, but nat was so terrified it was hilarious. anyways, we spent like. a lot of time there too, and it was really fun cos we got to touch them. sharks arent that awesome to touch, but i kept giving them names. there were masive sharks that looked really nice so i called it the Big Friendly Giant and i really liked it. there was one of the sharks in the tank that looked so pretty but just ignored us and we called that one Sally hehe xD yeah, and then we saw nemo and dory ! :D and there was this gray shark with gorgeous eyes that could only be found in anime! so we called taht one anime eyes. and yeah, thestingrays were nice, they let us pat it. it was awesome :D they feel so cool and slippery. anyways, dolly bought a pet stingray from the place, and we all got shark wrangler certificates telling us we were amazing :D unfortunately my camera had run out of batts then :( but yeah. then we cooked dinner! well , me and ronni with helps from others, we cooked ravioli with a tomatoy pasta sauce, garlic bread and eddies parents brought over caesar salad and chicken :D so good meal! and yeah, after that eddie had to go so we were all liek ngaw nooo :( :( but i'm glad you could come for at least one day! then we played pictionary till the middle of the night (ned stayed up till12! ) i paired up with ling and we won pictioanry :D then it was sleep time.
day six - 210111 - BOAT! ned's parents, ned and ronni and ling woke up at 6 to launch the boat, while the rest of us all slept in till 8 and were like oh noesk we're so late. so anyways, me louie dolly and ned got on the boat (cos the others had already had heaps of turns apparenntly) and louie and dolly and ned went doughnutting while i was too scare dto (yeah i sorta regret it now. looked really fun) and ned went waterskiing while louie tried and failed. (sorry.) and yeah. i don't really mind not doughnutting though. i love the boat ride. i was liek GOOO FASTER!!1 cos it was reallly really cool when it was fast. EDIT. i forgot to mention how we fed the fish. so theres this place in the bay where at high tide all the fish go cos they know ppl feed them, and its strictly a no fishing spot so they know they'll be safe, so we just got half a loaf of bread and fed the fish, and it was really amazing and fun :)
afterwards i ran back home and watched fed with neds mum. haha he was vrsing xavier malisse and he beat him :D yay. anyways, nothign much happened. ling and nat and ned cooked pasta again and we ate. then we watched ever after with our own cynical commentary. it was really fun. then sleep time. sunday morning - pack up time and left :( seriously the whole experience was so incredibly awesome andi'm so tired which is why i rushed the last bit but omg i had the best time ever, you guys! and thanks for making it so memorable and awesome :) anyways, had work again today and yesterday and from now on so ill ttyl , hopefully blog whenever i came but i work 6 days a week 8 hours ish so ill see when i can. but HOPE UNI OFFERS WENT WELL love you all!
